Typical repair operations include:

Dye penetrant inspection of serrations to identify surface cracks
Small end bearing calibration for proper fit and function
Straightness verification of the rod structure
Tightening and calibration of big end-bearing bolts and ovality measurement

If ovality exceeds allowable limits, we perform the following reconditioning sequence:

Serration machining of the big-end mating surfaces
Controlled tightening of connecting rod caps
Precision boring of the big-end housing to restore a perfect circular profile

Spare parts availability:

We maintain a ready stock of essential connecting rod components, including:

Bushes, bolts, nuts, and bearings
New or fully reconditioned connecting rods, available on a direct sale or exchange basis

While two-stroke connecting rod repairs are less frequent due to design complexity, YAF Engineering has extensive experience in their accurate reconditioning when needed.
